Anna's Mercy Project

These elderly women, abandoned by society and rejected by their families because of their Christian faith, would have no help except that provided by Anna’s Mercy project. They live in the remote highlands and are too old to work. Every month they need support for food and medicine. Anna’s Project, funded by donations, provides for them, and as she says, “They always praise the Lord for His provision.”

Joshua

Joshua, his English name, has led hundreds of people to Jesus in his outreach throughout Vietnam and Cambodia. He oversees a number of small home churches. While assigned to care for a church in Phnom Penh, he planted several other cell groups in the suburbs. He has developed classes for illiterate children of Vietnamese Christian refugees who fled to Kong Pong Som in Cambodia to flee persecution in their homeland.

Joshua is praying for a new church facility to replace one severely damaged by a tropical storm. About 40 children now attend his classes for instruction in the Bible and to learn hymns. All these have come to believe in Jesus. We finance Joshua’s salary and the rent for his school building. He has presently expanded his outreach to young adult homeless men, introducing them to the gospel and helping to provide them food.

Taking the gospel to Vietnam involves creative ways to reach the populace and build lasting relationships.

MORE STORIES FROM VIETNAM

My Hien

We sponsor and support My as she now seeks citizenship in America. My is the young woman we worked with to support an underground school and orphanage. My has taught and cared for ten children, feeding and providing them an education, while using the Bible to instruct them in English. She was a house mother to them all. All those children are now grown. Some continue their education and training through existing Vietnamese Universities. Others have become doctors, nurses, and teachers. Many have married. All of them have become productive members of their society, some uniquely placed within governmental roles. We see them as seeds planted to grow the kingdom of God.

Pastor Thai

Pastor Thai’s outreach is to the tribal people in the remote Highlands of Central Vietnam, as well as those in the local villages in Hai Phong and Hanoi. As you can tell by the photo, baptisms take place where ever possible, in village water wells and in remote rivers. We assist his outreach.

Local Pastors

This is a local pastor, proudly displaying the VCR player and International Bible Curriculum we provided in the Vietnamese language. We try to keep them up with the technology that allows the gospel to be presented, and discipleship encouraged in remote areas that have no electricity and trained pastors are few. We also provide quality cassette players which pastors use to record Christian radio programs for teaching in small home churches.

Micro-Business Fund

Phuoc Mai, Hung, Tuan, Hoang & Minh are some of the proud business owners whose ventures were made possible by our Micro-Business Fund. God is prospering these endeavors, enabling Christians to have a quality of life that is generally hindered by the government because of their faith. Christians are relegated to the lowest paying jobs and their properties often confiscated in the governments efforts to crack down on the rising growth of Christianity.

Outreach through Construction

Taking the gospel to Vietnam involves creative ways to reach the populace and build lasting relationships. This takes us to the outer reaches of Tay Ninh and Cu Chi as well as the inner cities of Da Nang and Saigon.

Construction projects are one of the ways we build up the body of Christ and leave a lasting mark.
